· From the community of San Bartolome Zoogocho, Villa Alta in Oaxaca, will perform the Mexican National Anthem during for FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017TM opening.
· Comprised by children and young people from the ages 9 to 21, the Band takes part in Social Inclusion Center no. 8 “General Lazaro Cardenas” at this community in the south side of the country.
In order to show to the world all richness and cultural heritage of Mexico’s indigenous population, through the music, the music band from Social Inclusion Center No. 8 “General Lazaro Cardenas”, in San Bartolome Zoogocho, Oaxaca was assigned to perform the National Anthem during the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017™opening ceremony.
Citibanamex, CIE and Patrimonio Indigena MX Foundations –chaired by Miguel Bose–, are in charge of making possible the presentation of the band comprised by children and young people of ages 9 to 21 years.
Aiming to encourage children and young people’s talent development, tenacity sensibility from the Social Inclusion Center No.8, Citibanamex will donate music instruments: a set of tubular bells, a concert marimba, a soprano saxophone, a standard xylophone, an oboe and a C major fagot. On the other hand, Fundacion Patrimonio Indigena MX, will equip a Media Classroom to benefit the 120 CIS’ students. CIE Foundation will take the group to different tours around the City, including their attendance to the show The Lion King.
The professor from Oaxaca, Camilo Jiménez Fernández –Band’s Director–, will be in charge of assessment and art direction of the 36 members next October 29 on the main straight of the emblematic Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
The music project whose repertory mainly consists on regional music from recognized national and international authors, derives from population’ s passion for music, which has had a huge relevance in the community by being an element of union closely related to the region communities’ costumes and traditions.
Their performance at the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017™ will be an example of how cultural manifestations have been fused with a sport journey and at the same time adjusted to real Mexico ordinariness, a reason of pride to the world’s eyes.
Through its foundations and as part of it Social Responsibility activities Corporacion Interamericana de Entretenimiento (CIE)–recognized on this field for 11 consecutive years– is now implementing actions aimed at common good between different vulnerable sectors of the population.
As a clear example, Patrimonio Indigena MX Foundation, chaired by Mr. Miguel Bosé Dominguín and Alejandro Soberón Kuri, based on contributing to the indigenous heritage preservation and Mexico’s communities well-being, thanks to a tripartite preservation scheme (Federal government –CDI–,
State government and private initiative), intended to create programs that encourage the pride and respect for those communities’ cultural manifestations; and CIE Foundation, with its programs Creamos Alegrias, Cuenta Cuentos, Ludotecas, and Medio Ambiente.
