Max Verstappen delivered the fastest lap in qualifying for the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, securing a crucial pole position ahead of the final race of the season. The Dutchman stopped the clock at 1:22.207, beating Lando Norris (McLaren) by 0.201 seconds, placing one of his main title rivals right behind him on the front row.
Oscar Piastri completed a strong session for McLaren with the third-fastest time, just 0.230 seconds off the pole, setting the stage for a perfectly poised three-way title fight under the lights of Yas Marina.
Behind the leading trio, George Russell qualified fourth for Mercedes, while Charles Leclerc secured a solid fifth place for Ferrari. Also inside the top ten were Fernando Alonso, Gabriel Bortoleto, Esteban Ocon, and others, all preparing for the high-stakes finale.
