The details of the next FORMULA ONE's season are being revealed gradually.
This time, the date of the first 2016 Grand Prix (Australia) was revealed. It will be on April 3th, later than usual in recent years. They want to reduce long periods of inactivity, such as we are experiencing in these weeks.
The beginning of each championship has been moved through the years, at first, the season began in May; but sometimes started in January. In the 70s and early 80s, the tendency was to start in January, as races in South America and South Africa were scheduled near the end of the year.
In the mid-80s championships started with the Brazilian Grand Prix in April, but in recent decades, the rule is to start in March.
This change of plans has raised some rumors about new GP on the calendar, especially Qatar, which could be held in March as the new opener.
Other dates of the 2016 season will begin to be discussed on May 14th at the meeting of Group Strategy F1.
