Each Grand Prix is remembered for statistics, timetables, rankings and great images. But the communication system between pilots and their teams during the race, shows depth information about what is been experienced in real time.
After each race, F1.com recounts the most relevant said over the radio by pilots and engineers. These are some of the phrases that marked the #BahrainGP 2015:
"I had a failure, a braking failure, and then (expletive) Perez took my wing off! Unbelievable!"-
Sebastian Vettel after a collision with Sergio Perez in the final stages of free practices 2.
"Good job guys, nice surprise!"
- Nico Hülkenberg surprised to have qualified in eighth position.
"What happened to my gap?"
- Lewis Hamilton emerges from his first stop to find his lead has been suddenly slashed
"So, gap to Kimi is now 8.5..." (Tony Ross, Rosberg's race engineer)
"Just don't tell me the gap anymore..." (Nico Rosberg)
- Nico Rosberg, who usually asks to have the most information as possible, decided he'd rather not hear how close was Räikkönen from him, in the last moments of the race.
"Hey Iceman, you were great, I'm proud of you. Grande Kimi."
Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene, ensures to congratulate Kimi Räikkönen for his second place.
"¡Falla en el BBW! ¡Falla en el BBW!" (Lewis Hamilton).
"Just caution on the brakes. One lap remaining, we have plenty of space."
Mercedes doing its best to reassure Hamilton, worried after reporting a problem with the Brake-By-Wire, on the last lap.
"Sorry about the brakes Nico. It happened at the worst time."
Mercedes feel the need to apologise to Rosberg after brakes issues prevent him from defending second place to Raikkonen.
As we can see, the stress through the radio was lived in the race for the top positions; this means that Mercedes is not as quiet as in the first races of the season. Ferrari is willing to complicate the championship for the silver arrows.
