02 March 2015  05:08 PM

FORMULA 1® World Constructor’s - Driver’s Championship.

The award is granted by FIA to the team with the highest score, according to the Grand Prix results.

The points are calculated by adding the races that each constructor’s driver carries out.

Drivers’ points shall be added to the constructor score.

From 2010, scores are read as follows:

The first 10 classified get the following points:

25 points to the first classified, 18 to the second, 15 the third, 12 the fourth, 10 the fifth, 8 to the sixth, 6 to the seventh, 4 to the eighth, 2 to the ninth and 1 point to the tenth. In the event of a tie, the final decision is based on the best positions.

In order for a driver to get points, he must be classified and complete the 90% of the distance driven by the winner, it is even possible to get points when occasionally dropping out before finishing the race. In the case, the winner completes at least the 75% of the laps, drivers and constructors are granted half of the points.

In the case the race were stopped before distance is completed and the result were announced, classification will be given according to scoring, taking into account only until two laps before race stops.

Example: If the race is stopped on the lap 60, classification will only take into account until lap 58.

After the race, the Official classification will be published. Subject to modifications to the Code or to the Sport Regulations, this willl be the only valid result.
