- We share a guide to enjoying the Mexico GP 2024 to the fullest, with recommendations for transportation, access, allowed items, food and beverages, among others.
For fans attending the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix 2024 Presented by Heineken, we share a series of useful recommendations to make the most of the experience of being at the most awaited F1ESTA of the year.
Transportation:
- The venue does NOT have parking for this event, so we recommend you use public transportation, Remote Transportation Services or Ticketmaster’s Ticket2Ride system.
- Public transportation options to get to the venue include:
- Metro Line 9 at its Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva and Puebla stations.
- Metrobus Line 2 at the Iztacalco and UPIICSA stations.
- Trolebus Line 2 at its stations Ciudad Deportiva, Puerta 8, Puebla and Av. Río Churubusco.
Access:
- E-ticket: Remember that this year ALL tickets are SafeTix™ digital, which you can download from the Mexico GP Account Manager (https://www.mexicogp.mx/account-manager/). When you enter the Account Manager, you will be able to check the access gate, your zone and the grandstand where your seats are located.
- Remember that you must show your SafeTix™ digital ticket from your Mexico GP Account Manager account or your digital Wallet, as your tickets CANNOT be scanned from a screenshot.
- Doors open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. (subject to change without prior notice), and the zones inside the building do not communicate with each other.
- You must respect the “Friday”, “Saturday” and “Sunday” legends indicated on each electronic ticket.
- Avoid buying tickets on websites other than Ticketmaster, F1 Experiences or formula1.com. By purchasing from social media groups, ticket resale sites and outside the venues you run the risk of buying fake or duplicate tickets and will not be able to enter the event. Ticketmaster cannot be held responsible for tickets purchased outside of the official channels.
- Do not share pictures or screenshots of your tickets on social media or messaging applications.
Mexico GP APP:
- We recommend downloading the mobile application “Mexico GP” on your mobile phone, either in the App Store or Google Play so you can prepare for your arrival at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. The app also allows you to find your tickets, preload Cashless, track schedules, news, results and gastronomic offers available during the weekend of the event, as well as a section for frequently asked questions and more.
Allowed Items:
- You may bring in flags without flagstaffs, cameras, binoculars, hats, flat-topped umbrellas and small backpacks.
- You may not bring selfie sticks, smoke bombs, flares, bicycles, musical instruments or pets.
- Check the complete list of permitted and prohibited items on the official Mexico GP website.
Food & Beverages
- To buy food and beverages you will have to use the Citibanamex Cashless system, you will be able to recharge your Token with cash, debit or credit card from any bank to simplify payments. This system aims to avoid the use of cash and reduce crowds at food and beverage points of sale.
- If you do not spend the total balance of your Citibanamex Cashless Token you can request a digital reimbursement from Friday, 1st November at 11:55 a.m. until Saturday, 30th November at 11:55 p.m. through an online form, just remember to check carefully your data. For more information, please visit the following link: http://cashless.mexicogp.mx.
- This year, the race will become the first entertainment event in Mexico to offer attendees infinitely recyclable aluminium cups, replacing all single-use plastic cups. In addition, fans will be able to scan the QR code printed on the cup for an immersive experience that they can share on social media. There will also be 20 collection points and 60 environmental agents to collect the cups, as ARZYZ® will recycle them again after the event.
- ARZYZ® will also set up 12 free hydration points at the Mexico GP so that attendees can stay hydrated throughout the weekend.
- There will be more than 50 food alternatives, including a diverse selection of plant-based food, among them: Fishers, Porfirio’s, Butchers & Son’s, El Califa, La Vicenta, Chili’s, Tim Hortons, Shake Shack and Domino’s Pizza, among others.
- Beer will be sold from 11:00 to 19:00 hrs, while alcohol from 12:00 to 19:00 hrs.
At the venue
- Respect is essential to enjoy the best F1ESTA in the world, so follow the instructions inside the event and comply with safety protocols at all times.
- We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, bring a portable charger, an umbrella (flat-top) or raincoat, a hat, sunscreen and, of course, the best attitude to live the weekend dedicated to motorsports lovers.
