 The FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO^TM keeps reinforcing its commitment to generations of motor racing fans to come; by launching a convocation to the initative F1 Future Stars (grid kids). It is about a program for young pilots selected to be at the opening ceremony previous to championship’s races. Gokartmania tracks altogether with FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO^TM organizers are calling boys and girls between 7 and 10 years old to a karting competition where they will show their talent and skills behind the wheel, to be chosen as one of the F1 Future Stars based on their own achievements and merits. “We are really excited launching this new program, since we are convinced that Mexico has a so much talent that in a future to come could clearly represen tour country in Formula 1^®. We try to encourage the youngest one to pursue their dreams as motor racing professionals so we have some new Jo Ramírez, Checo Pérez or another Esteban Gutiérrez”, said Rodrigo Sánchez, Director of Marketing and PR of FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO^TM. In order to choose the 10 out of the 20 young participants for F1 Future Stars, a series of karting championship will be conducted in the different Gokartmania branches placed in Carso and Tlalnepantla. The tournament will begin on July 23rd and will be comprised by ten championships of 16 participants each, who will compete throughout four dates and eight races to accumulate the biggest number of points. Participants will be divided in two categories: ages from 7 to 8 and from 9 to 10. The winner of each championship will be the driver who at the end of the four dates had accumulated the biggest number of points, which will be assignated according to each lap-time registered and not according to the finish time. Therefore, the 10 selected pilots will have the chance to convey with their idols – the 20 pilots of Formula 1^® – during the anthem ceremony previous to the beginning of FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2018™. Also they will be able to witness the pilots parade, visit FIA pits, meet category’s directors and live the adrenaline of the race experienced from the tiers of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez. “We appreciate the trust that FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO^TM placed in all of us in order to fulfill such labor and therefore, confirming our commitment of encouraging motor racing in Mexico and get this incredible experience closer to those children who have as main goal in life, becoming a rock star of motor sports”, pointed Nahum Olin, Director of PR of Gorkartmania. Registrations will be made directly at Gokartmania branches, in Carso and Tlalnepantla, and will be open from Wednesday, July 11^th, 2018 with a cost of $6,500 MXN per championship. The 10 remaining children – from the 20 which are part of F1 Future Stars program (grid kids)–, will be designated by each venue’s motor racing local authorities.
