22 October 2015  08:15 PM

After a general renewal, the bust of the brothers, Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez is back in the facilities of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez to take a place of honor, toward the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2015®.

The bust of the Rodriguez Brothers was an idea of Alejandro, the pilots’ younger brother, and with the support of Cigatam was unveiled on March, 1983 having renowned personalities from the World Championship Team, Niki Lauda, John Watson and Andrea de Cesaris as attendees. The piece was originally placed at the entrance of the old pit stops, but after the remodeling made to the Autodromo for holding the second phase of the Gran Premio de Mexico in 1986, the bust was moved next to the podium, in front of the control tower.

In 2002, as a result of new changes made to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, that time to receive the CART serial, the bust was set on the new podium, placed over the paddock tunnel, where it was kept until just a few months when it was sent to the Fundición Artística Mares workshop for its restoration, to prepare it for the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2015® that will take place on November 1st.

There are still available tickets for the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MEXICO 2015 and supporting races.
